Day 1 -  INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON/PHL AIRPORT/CHICAGO        
Our early afternoon one-hour flight puts us into Chicago in the mid-afternoon! Check into our deluxe hotel, your home for 4 nights. Your hotel has a colorful and exciting history plus a famous frescoed ceiling. Dinner this evening at the historic Berghoff Restaurant which weathered Prohibition by selling the near beer, Bergo Soda Pop.   Meals:D

Day 4 - WRIGHT’S HOME AND STUDIO/ NAVY PIER    
Enjoy traveling through the charming streets of Oak Park and River Forest to the landmark Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio and his incredible Unity Temple he called his “Little Jewel”. Some fun this afternoon in Navy Pier with a variety of attractions including the Crystal Gardens, Ferris Wheel and Carousel. Look forward to dinner this evening in Greektown.    Meals:B,D

Day 2 - CHICAGO RIVER CRUISE/ART INSTITUTE/ GOLD COAST        
Our local guide will join us for a delightful day of touring beginning with Millennium Park, a 26 acre park with stunning outdoor art, a fountain with a reflecting pool bookended by two 50-foot high towers of glass brick and changing video images, and the amazing Cloud Gate. Next sit back and relax as you cruise the Chicago River and through the locks with excellent narration as we cruise by revolutionary buildings to Lake Michigan. Tour the Art Institute of Chicago, guarded by an iconic pair of bronze lions, home to a permanent collection of artworks including ancient Greek sculptures, impressionist, Renaissance American and much more. Lunch on your own in the museum café before we board our motorcoach and drive through the Gold Coast, including the Astor Street Historic District with its turn of the century mansions along the lakefront and Lincoln Park. Dinner this evening at Tommy Gun’s Garage. This is Chicago’s only Speakeasy Dinner Theatre, complete “wit da gangsters and da flappers” featuring roaring 20’s music.   Meals:B,D

Day 5 - PINSTSRIPES/BAHA’I/HOME    
Enjoy a full breakfast buffet at Pinstripes and a river view at this renovated warehouse before we travel through the North Shore area to visit Baha’i House of Worship. Over 30 years in construction have resulted in this breathtaking masterpiece overlooking Lake Michigan. Visit the sanctuary and gardens. Then on to the airport for our return flight to Philadelphia where transportation will be waiting to return you to Wilmington, Newark and Independence.   Meals:B

Day 3 - ROBIE HOUSE/HYDE PARK/YOUR CHOICE     
This morning visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, a restored 1909 home considered his finest example of the first “Prairie School” phase of Wright’s illustrious career and the first architectural style considered uniquely American.  The house has an interesting history. It was almost demolished in 1957 but Wright, who was almost 90 years of age at the time, along with the media, neighbors and students protested the demolition of the house and were successful in doing so. We continue with our guide to Hyde Park, Jewel of the Chicago south lakefront. Originally the site of the 1893 World’s Fair, and the beautiful Midway Plaisance is now a part of the University of Chicago. A lavish lunch today is at the Union League Club of Chicago. The Club was founded to support the Union during the Civil War and continues its mission of civic engagement today. Dine amid the club’s incredible collection of American Art. Your choice this afternoon - visit the Field Museum, an awesome journey through 4 billion years of life on earth including a look at the biggest dinosaur ever discovered. OR enjoy an afternoon on your own to explore Michigan’s Avenue’s “Magnificent Mile”. Dinner is on your own with suggestions from your tour guide.  Meals:B,L
