DAY 3 – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING/THEATER
After breakfast we are off to Mackenzie-Childs. View a video of the production studio where handmade, hand-decorated majolica pottery, tile, furniture and home furnishings are crafted by talented artisans. Included is a visit to the Farmhouse decorated in the whimsical style of Mackenzie-Childs. Our next stop is Strawberry Fields where the owner will show us how strawberries are grown hydroponically. Lunch at the Sherwood Inn with time to explore the village and to enjoy lake vistas. Later in the afternoon visit the Willard Chapel which was totally designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. After returning to the hotel for a rest, it’s off to dinner at the Springside Inn and then to the Merry-Go-Round Theater for a performance of Beehive and Women Who Rocked our World. Meals:B,L,D

DAY 2 – WATKINS GLEN/AUBURN, NY
Breakfast at the Harbor Hotel before we travel to the Seneca Waterfalls and the historic 1948 track used for auto racing in the area. We return to the harbor for a scenic lake cruise followed by lunch at Seneca Harbor Station Restaurant in a renovated train station beside the lake. Then on to Glenora Wine Cellars for a sampling of Finger Lakes wines paired with cheese. We then travel to the Hilton Garden Inn for the next 2 nights, where you can enjoy an independent dinner. DAY 4 – SEWARD MANSION/VARICK WINERY/HOME
Enjoy breakfast before our visit to the Seward Mansion. William Seward was Secretary of State under President Lincoln, and is perhaps best known for his instrumental role in the Alaska Purchase – known then as Seward’s Folly and now the proud State of Alaska. This unique mansion is completely furnished with the possessions of the Seward family. Driving along the west side of Cayuga Lake, we visit Varick Winery, where we can relax, sit, rock and enjoy. Visit their country store and sample some of the jams, oils, salsas and vinegars. Before heading to lunch, we make a stop at Taughannock State Park for a view of the tallest waterfall in the East. Next stop is a memorable lunch at the Taughannock Farm Inn. Founded in 1873, the Inn has been welcoming guests for generations. From the Inn, we begin our homeward journey for an evening arrival in Newark and Wilmington. Meals:B,L
