Day 1 - INDEPENDENCE (near Millsboro), NEWARK/WILMINGTON
Early afternoon departure for Philadelphia Airport for your overnight flight to Europe.  Meals IN FLIGHT

Day 2 - EUROPE/NAIROBI, KENYA
Fly from Europe to Nairobi for your overnight stay.  Our hotel is lovely.  Meals IN FLIGHT

Day 3 - SAMBURU RESERVE - Where the wild things are
Set off for the Samburu Reserve, home to some of Africa's most exotic wildlife including Reticulated giraffe and Grevy's Zebra found only north of the equator, plus hippos and elephants.  A game drive enroute to your riverside lodge.  This evening learn about the culture and traditions of the Samburu during an interactive discussion.  Meals BLD

Day 4 - SAMBURU RESERVE
More great photo opportunities as we continue to search for the elusive "Big 5" on a journey through the rugged Samburu region.  Look for the spectacular local bird life; over 365 species of birds inhabit the Samburu.  The scenery is spectacular.  Meals BLD

Day 5 - SAMBURU/NANYUKI/MT. KENYA SAFARI CLUB
Arrive at the sprawling, world-famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club in the shadow of Mt. Kenya.  The resort and grounds are beautiful and it was once the private hunting lodge of actor William Holden.  Meals BLD

Day 6 - MT. KENYA SAFARI CLUB
A full day at leisure to enjoy and explore the Mt. Kenya Safari Club.  Stroll the landscaped gardens, swim in the heated pool, visit the wildlife orphanage and enjoy a guided tour of the gardens.  Stunning views of Mt. Kenya await you here.  Meals BLD

Day 7 - NANYUKI/KIGIO WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY
This morning drive past the mountains via Nyahururu waterfalls.  Arrive at the floor of the Great Rift Valley at Kigio with its wide ranging habitats and approximately 3,500 heads of wildlife including the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, impala, gazelle, leopard, hippo and bird species.  Meals BLD

Day 8 - KIGIO/LAKE ELEMENTEITA/KIGIO
After a morning walk, savor a traditional breakfast in the bush.  See many of the local projects that are supported by the conservancy including basket making, rug weaving jewelry made from recycled paper and more.  Continue on a game drive where you may see thousands of flamingos.  Return to Kigio.   Meals BLD

Day 9 - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
This morning travel to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, an extension of the great Serengeti Plain, considered the most stunning game viewing spot in all of Kenya:  lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants and other wildlife.  Your tent provides all the deluxe amenities of a lodge, complete with the adventure of the wild.  This evening enjoy a Masai dance performance.  Meals BLD

Day 10 - MASAI MARA
An optional hot air balloon ride over the plains is offered this morning.  Today your full day game drive includes a picnic lunch.  Return to your hotel in Masai Mara for sunset.  Meals BLD

Day 11 - MASAI MARA/NAIROBI
After breakfast return to Nairobi and visit the farmhouse of Karen Blixen, author of te book "Out of Africa."  Experience the local wildlife as you have the opportunity to feed the Rothschild giraffes from a raised platform at the Giraffe Sanctuary.  It's a lot of fun!   Meals BL

Day 12 - NAIROBI/AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Another great day as we depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, famous for its open plains where lions and elephants roam and the breathtaking snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro dominates the landscape.  Enjoy a game drive enroute to your lodge.  Meals BLD

Day 14 - AMBOSELI/NAIROBI
Return to Nairobi.  Visit the students at Tenderfeet Education Center, supported by the Collette Foundation.  This school helps orphans and high risk children in Riruta, a suburb of Nairobi.  A day room has been reserved for you to freshen up and enjoy some leisure time at the Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi before our return flight to Philadelphia.  Meals B, IN FLIGHT
