Day 4 - CAPE COD
Our local guide will be with us for more touring of the Cape. For 20 years the settlers spread from north and south of Plymouth. The Bay sections of Sandwich, Barnstable and Yarmouth (all incorporated in 1639) was the first area to be settled and the newcomers hunted, fished and farmed. Travel through Sandwich, at one time home to America’s largest glass factory. Arrive in Wareham for a Cranberry Bog Tour at Makepeace, the world’s largest cranberry grower. Your bog guide will show you examples of an existing bog currently in production and the two methods of harvesting. Lunch on your own at the Village Market at the bogs. Afternoon finds us in Plymouth, home of the Pilgrims. You’ll have a tour of historical sites, photo stops and visit to Plimoth Plantation, recreating 17th century life ways in the New World. Enjoy dinner at the Plantation before returning to your hotel.  Meals:B,D
