After breakfast, transfer to Albuquerque International Airport for your return flight home where transportation will be waiting to return you home. Meals:B

Day 2 - ALBUQUERQUE - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
First stop today is the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, which is dedicated to presenting the history and artifacts that tell the story of the Atomic Age. Next onto the Turquoise Museum, perhaps the largest private collection in the world. See one-of-a-kind showpieces focusing on the beauty, mythology and physical properties of turquoise. After a hosted lunch at the historic 66 Diner on Route 66, depart for the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, dedicated to the preservation of Pueblo Indian culture, history and art. Enjoy traditional native dances this afternoon before visiting the noted Tile House. Every inch of the exterior is covered with over 150,000 mosaic tiles. Meals:B,L

Day 1 - INDEPENDENCENEWARK/WILMINGTON /PHL AIRPORT/ALBUQUERQUE
Morning departure for our late morning flight to Albuquerque. Transfer by motorcoach into Albuquerque where our guide will meet and escort us for a brief walking tour of The Old Town. Explore hidden courtyards, stroll under covered portals and enjoy shopping at specialty stores and galleries around the Plaza. Check into our hotel for a 2 night stay before our welcome dinner. Day 6 - SANTA FE/TAOS
Depart for Taos, a picturesque town nestled against the highest mountain peeks in New Mexico at 7,000 feet above sea level. After a brief stop at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge visit the Millicent Rogers Museum. This excellent museum features the collections of Millicent Rogers, an heiress to the Standard Oil fortune. Enjoy a guided docent-tour of the museum which houses spectacular collections of Navajo and Pueblo jewelry, textiles, pottery and basketry. Lunch at The Gorge and free time on the Taos Plaza before visiting Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Historic Landmark. Then depart for the historic 17th century village of Chimayo, where you will visit the Santuario de Chimayo. This beautiful adobe chapel with twin bell towers was erected in 1816. The church interior and alter screens are exquisite examples of early 19th century religious folk art masters. Dinner will be at the landmark Rancho de Chimayo restaurant. Meals:B,L,D

Day 4 - SANTA FE - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Take the scenic route along the Rio Grand River for a native cultures float trip. Float a tranquil section of the Rio Grande with two guides: one to row the raft and a Native American interpretive guide who shares Pueblo history and lore with you. After the float trip disembark to enjoy a delicious traditional feast awaiting you, prepared and served by a Pueblo Indian family. Continue to Bandelier National Monument, best known for its mesas, canyons and Pueblo dwellings. This archaeological site, 7,000 feet above sea level encompasses over 32,000 acres of wilderness. Return to Santa Fe for the remainder of the day at leisure. Meals:B,L

Day 3 - ALBUQUERQUE/SANTA FE
Depart after breakfast and travel the historic Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway which links Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Drive back into history through the mining towns of Golden, Madrid and Cerillos, whose mines once yielded gold, silver, lead, zinc and turquoise. After the lunch visit the historic Plaza, St. Francis Cathedral, the Loretto Chapel, with its famous “miraculous” staircase and the San Miguel Mission. Founded in 1610, Sante Fe is the heart and soul of the Southwest - its historic Plaza, winding streets, covered arcades and Pueblo style architecture reflect the blending of Indian, Hispanic and Anglo cultures. Day 5 - SANTA FE - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Travel to Ghost Ranch to see the sights that inspired Georgia O’Keefe, a landscape she loved and painted for over fifty years. On our guided landscape tour of the area, see through your own eyes the scenes and locations of Georgia O’Keefe paintings. The shining red and yellow cliffs of the Piedra Lumre, the black trails of waterfalls against canyon walls and her beloved Pedernal Mountain were all a part of her life in Abiquiu. Enjoy lunch at the Abiquiu Inn and return to Santa Fe with time to freshen up before dinner at the internationally acclaimed Santa Fe School of Cooking, where you will learn about the unique flavors of the region and you will dine on the food afterward.
