Santa Fe, New Mexico’s capital, sits in the Sangre de Cristo foothills and is renowned for its unique Pueblo-style architecture. Tour highlights include a walking tour of colonial Santa Fe, an open-air tram tour, the Loretta Chapel, the Santa Fe School of Cooking, the Turquoise Trail, the Allan Houser Sculpture Garden, Bandelier National Monument, Chimayo Sanctuary and much more. No matter your interests, the city has countless opportunities for you to tour, explore and enjoy. Stay 5 nights at the Drury Plaza Hotel.  

Day 5 - SANTA FE (Your choice)                                                  
If you have a sweet tooth, visit some of Santa Fe’s chocolate shops for delicious tastings of chocolate treats infused with local ingredients like chillies, pinon nuts and lavender OR opt for our tour featuring Santa Fe’s major spy hangouts and discover drop-off points where KGB spies exchanged top-secret information during the Manhattan Project. This afternoon is at leisure to visit colorful art galleries or to visit a local museum. Tonight a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.   Meals:B,D

Day 6 - AIRPORT TRANSFER
With fond memories of Santa Fe transfer to the airport for your return flight to Philadelphia where transportation will be waiting to return you to Wilmington, Newark or Independence.

Conditions: A deposit of $600 per person is due with each reservation. Final payment is due August 1, 2021.
Cancellations: Insurance is available at a cost of $449 per person and must be paid time of deposit. With insurance you may cancel for any reasons prior to the day of departure and receive a full refund Collette except for the Travel Protection Fee of $449.

Day 2 - SANTE FE   
Your morning begins with a guided walking tour of Santa Fe’s Plaza, heart of the city and gathering place for locals for more than 400 years. Enjoy stops at the Santa Fe Indian Market, Palace of the Governors and Palace Avenue. Then embark on an open-air tram tour of Santa Fe and learn more about the history, art and architecture of the oldest capital city in North America. Visit the Loretta Chapel with its “miraculous staircase”, a structure with a spiral staircase. Tonight, try your hand at making a tamale at the Santa Fe School of Cooking and savor Spanish and Mexican flavored food.   Meals:B,D

Day 1 - INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON/PHL AIRPORT/SANTA FE
Morning departure for PHL Airport and your flight to New Mexico where you will be welcomed to the “Land of Enchantment”!  You’ll explore Santa Fe, a city with a rich blend of multiculturalism, natural beauty, lovely architecture and profound history. Enjoy a welcome reception tonight with your fellow travelers at our hotel, just steps from the Santa Fe’s iconic Plaza.

Day 4 - BANDELIER NATIONAL MONUMENT/CHIMAYO/SANTA FE  
Bandelier National Monument awaits you, a natural site where the native Pueblo Indians settled into the canyons and mesa tops west of Santa Fe. The volcanic landscape holds cliff dwellings and ruins of the Pueblo villages dating back to the 1500’s. On a guided walk you’ll have the opportunity to discover more of the park’s ancient ruins and thriving wildlife. Afterwards an authentic New Mexican lunch before visiting El Santuario de Chimayo, and the most important Catholic pilgrimage site in the United States. This afternoon visit a Chimayo weaver and learn the fascinating process behind this intricate traditional art. Explore on your own in the village before returning to Santa Fe.     Meals:B,L

Day 3 - SANTA FE/MADRID/SANTA FE      
We’ll travel the scenic Turquoise Trail to the village of Madrid, a charming hamlet stitched into the landscape of the Ortiz Mountains. Once a major coal-mining town, the village is now revered for its thriving artistic community. The Allan Houser Sculpture Garden awaits us with 80 works by the prolific artist, a renowned Native American painter and sculptor. Return to Santa Fe.   Meals:B,L
